Mountolive Studio

Mountolive Glass Studio is a small Western Australian based business partnership between artists Judy Kotai and Sara Attanasio, which has been operating since October 1993.

Judy and Sara work from a rammed earth studio nestled in the hills east of Perth. Here they have been able to explore magical 'chiaroscuro' of glass; utilising the strong Australian sunlight in conjunction with the transparent qualities of coloured glass.

As the gallery is now open for special exhibition purposes only, Sara and Judy now produce their range primarily for the wholesale market.

The business produces a large range of quality handmade glass craftware. All items are designed by either Judy or Sara and handmade by both. its focus is on depicting the native birdlife of Australia (with emphasis on presentation), and has expanded to a collection of more stylised fish and butterflies.
